I have a better image of the "I AM EVIL" portrait painting. It shows a little more of the work I did on the banana. I don't know if you will notice any difference, but if you look back at the old posting, the banana still read a little flat. I also rounded out the fingers a little more.

Another critique and Hunt for Scholarships (money)
I just finished up another critique for my Painting 3 class - it went well. I will post pictures soon of the painting. I also had a Midterm review for my Watercolor class - not so great. I am told that my work is in the B+ to A- range. I'm not quite sure how to bring the grade up. I am also on the hunt for more scholarships - school funding; my current scholarship is up next semester, and I am in need of money for my final semester. I hope some scholarships will come through. It's never easy....

This is a new line of characters - Dudlz
These are the recently copyrighted cartoon characters I have been working on. The copyright is official and Zedie is official as well. These new characters are called, Dudlz. I can't put the line over the "u" but they are pronounced Doodlz - of course a play on doodles ( to draw or scribble). I have recently had a couple made into stickers; there will be more to follow. These characters are originally drawn by hand and then scanned and re-drawn in Illustrator.

Black-and-White photo of me busy painting at home.
Thank you Eddy for the great photos. This is the amount of space I have to work at home. I look forward to having a studio some day. In these pictures, I am working on an abstract painting. This will be a surprise for my professor. He assigns "problems," and we have to fix them. I had to build my own panel, use rabbit skin glue (yes made from bunnies), use traditional gesso cooked on a double boiler in class, and then create an abstract painting. I might post the abstract painting at a later date.
New Body of Work - Oil Paintings.
I am in the process of building a body of work that actually resonates with me as an artist. The work is done in gray tones, black-and-white, with a touch of color to a specific area of the painting. One is of Eddy holding a banana and the other is a self-portrait. The self-portrait still needs the lenses of the glasses to be painted a light blush "rose" color. I am also currently working on a portrait of my son, Joshua. The canvas is 18" x 72" in length. He will be in the same gray tones, but the necklace (rosary beads) he is wearing, will be in color. I will post images of that painting at a later date.
